Louanna Hough

Louanna Hough, 83, of Carroll Township, formerly of Belle Vernon, passed away on August 13, 2024 at the Residence at Hilltop. Born on March 24, 1941 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Byrnece (Welte) Guthrie. Louanna was a 1958 graduate of Snowden Township Highschool and was a member of the Christian Center Church in Rostraver. She loved traveling with her husband and her friends, especially to Florida and Tidioute, PA. In order to stay at home with her children when they were growing up, Louanna ran a successful upholstery business from her home in Belle Vernon in the 1970’s and 1980’s. She also loved crafting including quilting, sewing, stained glass, ceramics, painting, and even cake decorating. She is survived by a son and daughter in-law, Michael and Beth Hough of Fayette City, a daughter, Linda Anderson of Titusville, PA; six grandchildren, K. Russell (Chieko) Anderson III of Mountain Home, ID, Clairissa (Curtis) Hare of Greensboro, NC, Nicholas (Lindsey) Hough of Wasola, MO, Victoria (Frankie) Vazquez of Fayette City, Breanna (Dylan) Sonney of Edinboro, and Timothy (Ashley) Hough of Rostraver Twp.; 13 great grandchildren, Eva, Addison, Esther, and Annalise Hough, Elsie, Mila, and Frankie Vazquez, Louie and Sana Anderson, Scarlett and Violet Hare, and Elliott and Isabella Hough; and siblings, Jim (Debbie) Guthrie, Nancy Mueller, Marilyn (Ed) Wielgus, Ron (Jean) Guthrie, Bea Disney, and Jeff (Nancy Lufty) Guthrie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Delmar D. ‘Sonny’ Hough on July 16, 2018, a son in-law, Kenny Anderson, and a brother, Richard Guthrie. Friends will be received on Friday August 16th from 4 to 7 P.M. in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon. 724-929-5300. www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com.
