Albert Louis “Skip” Baker, 80, of Belle Vernon, went to be with the Lord Monday, December 13, 2021 in Mon Valley Hospital. A son of the late Albert and Rosalie Tutino Baker, he was born on February 20, 1941 in N. Charleroi. Albert lived most of his adult life in Belle Vernon where he belonged to St. Sebastian R.C. Church, the Belle Vernon Fire Co. since 1974, the Belle Vernon Moose Lodge, and the Belle Vernon American Legion. An avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed camping with his family and coffee with his buddies at Wendy’s. Albert worked at the Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Allenport Plant as an overhead crane operator for 38 years retiring in 2000. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Josephine “Alice” Gallagher Baker, a daughter Lori L. Downes of Belle Vernon, four sons and two daughters-in-law, William Baker of Belle Vernon, Jeffrey and Grace Baker of Hiram, GA, Daniel Baker of Belle Vernon, and David and Michele Baker of South Park, five grandchildren, Melissa Downes, Noah Scott Baker, Nathaniel Jon Baker, Joshua Baker, and Hannah Baker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brandi Lynn Stefanick and a sister, Bonnie Gust. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M.
