Betty L. Teska

Betty L. Teska, 88, of Perryopolis, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 in Mon Valley Care Center. The daughter of the late Phillip and Addie McGavitt Daugherty, she was born in Belle Vernon on November 28, 1933. A resident of Perryopolis most of her adult life, Betty was a homemaker and a very loving mom, grandmother, friend, and neighbor. She is survived by her son, Jeffery H. Teska of Perryopolis; four grandchildren, Jason (Carolyn) Teska of Perryopolis, Joshua Teska (Toni Casey) of Perryopolis, Hannah (Rick) Beeson of Pittsburgh, and Hope Inman of Ben Wheeler, TX; and six great-grandchildren, Giana, Waylon, Jayce, Hadley, Aubrey, and Reagan. She is also survived by her adopted family, Winona Hoffman and sons, Jake, Isaac, Ethan and Evan. Betty also helped raise Sara Morales of Texas. The last surviving of her brothers and sisters, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Teska on December 19, 1993. Betty’s favorite saying to visitors was ‘Darlin, would you like a glass of iced tea and what can I fix you to eat?’ Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M.
