Conrad (Connie) J. Stinogle, 72, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 1, 2018. Mr. Stinogle was a resident of North Belle Vernon and Vanderbilt, PA. He was the son of Conrad W. and Juanita Stinogle and the grandson of Nancy Sholes of Burnsville, West Virginia with whom he made his home for many years. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Belle Vernon, the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659, Moose 209, and the Belle Vernon V.F.W Post 699. He retired from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Coke Plant in Monessen and the U.S. Army corp. of Engineers. A Vietnam war veteran, he also retired from the U.S. Army and PA Army National Guard with a combined honorable service of 27 years, receiving a purple heart. Conrad enjoyed hunting, fishing, scuba diving, reading, camping, and visiting Civil War Battlegrounds. He also volunteered as an EMT and conducted CPR classes for the American Red Cross. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sandra Van Breman Stinogle, two daughters, Dyane Stinogle of Vanderbilt and Karyn (Luis) Estrada of Jacksonville, NC, four grandchildren; Kobey Johnston, Kassidy Moore, Emma and Kayla Estrada, three sisters; Joyce Livingston, Nancy Stinogle, and Barbara (Dennis) Peters all of Belle Vernon, and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Thursday in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-5300 www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com A funeral service will be in the funeral home at 10:30 A.M. Friday, January 5, 2018 with Pastor Sam Batton officiating. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. . The members of the North Belle Vernon Fire Department will meet in the funeral home to pay respects to Mr. Stinogle at 7:00 P.M. Thursday followed by services at 7:30 P.M. by the Belle Vernon American Legion, Post 659.
