Emil Revala

April 15, 1921 - January 7, 2014

Emil Revala, 92, of Lynnwood (Belle Vernon), passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, in Mon Valley Hospital. A son of the late George and Susan Baciak Revala, he was born in Charleroi on April 15, 1921. Emil was a member of Lynnwood Lutheran Church. A lifelong resident of the Mon Valley, he had resided in Lynnwood since 1950 and worked as an equipment operator. Emil was a combat veteran in the US Army, 8th Infantry Division, during WW II. Survivors include his son, Emil D. Revala of Asheville, NC, his daughter, Karen Matheson of Ocean Pines, MD, two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren one sister, Mildred Stech and one brother, Edward Revala, both of Charleroi In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Podbesek Revala on July 1, 2013, one sister, Anna Davis and two brothers, George and John Revala.
