Gregg Hazelbaker, 55, of Lowber (Fayette City), passed away in his home peacefully after an illness of the past nine years, on Monday, November 3, 2014 A son of the late Arthur and Hannah Eland Hazelbaker, he was born in N. Charleroi on March 22, 1959. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served four years aboard many ships and had received an Honorable Discharge. Gregg was a family man who loved the game of poker and had devoted 17 years of his life at the former Montgomery Wards Warehouse in Charleroi. He will be sadly missed but joyfully remembered by his wife, Gretchen Lindey Gardner Hazelbaker, three daughters and two sons-in-law, Michele and Wayne Riggin, Ginger and Billy Wilson and Krystle Hazelbaker, two sons and one daughter-in-law, Bill and Lisa Gardner and Chris Gardner, five grandchildren, Kelsey and Henry Riggin and Brian, Brandon and Brooklyn Gardner, one great-grandchild on the way, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Arlene and Larry Knopsider and Linda and Dave Yuvan and two brothers and one sister-in-law, Arthur Hazelbaker and Edward and Lesa Hazelbaker. Greg was loved and admired by his many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Daniel Hazelbaker. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M.
