June Minor, 89, of Belle Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 12, 2014. A daughter of the late Isaac and Georgia Richards Hoskins, she was born in Morgantown, WV on April 7, 1925. A resident of Belle Vernon for most of her adult life, June had attended the First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon and worked as a cashier at the former Yencik's Market for many years. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Scott Marklewicz of Belle Vernon, two sons and one daughter-in-law, Timothy Minor of Uniontown and Ronald and Patricia Minor of Perryopolis, one sister, Eileen Campbell of North Carolina, three brothers, Richard Hoskins of North Carolina, Kenneth Hoskins of Ohio and Terry Hoskins of Florida, six grandchildren, Timothy Minor, Jr. of Texas, Kristin Eckenrode of Saltsburg, Marci Zelenski of Belle Vernon, Abigail Minor, Rebecca Minor, both of State College and Machale Minor of Perryopolis and numerous great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ellsworth Minor in 2010, one son, Ellsworth Minor, one granddaughter, Tammie Scarvel on October 7, 2006 and one grandson, Jared D. Minor on June 4, 2011. Friends will be received 7 to 9 P.M.
