Mary T. Barger, 99, of Lynnwood, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, November 30, 2013. A daughter of the late Paul and Katherine Maganetz Turtzer, she was born in Charleroi on September 25, 1914. A member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards at the Center on the Hill, and was an avid Steelers and Pirate fan. Survivors include four daughters, Paula (Bob) Beck of Tempe, AZ, Mary Lois “Cis” (Joe) Way of Oil City, Nancy Gaydos of Daisytown and Joan (Tom) Nave of Oviedo, FL; eleven grandchildren, Robert Beck, Julie Owen, Matt Beck, Renee Quijas, Tracey Way, Amy Adams, Mark Gaydos, Kristen Hedden, Deanne Petrucci, Patrick Nave and Courtney Hyer and 24 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John K. “Jack” Barger on March 26, 2001; two sisters, Agnes Kendrick and Anna Diaz; three brothers, Paul, Peter and Joseph Turtzer; a great grandson, John Paul Gaydos, in infancy and a son-in-law, Paul Gaydos, in 2012. Friends will be received 2 to 4 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M. Tuesday in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., (724-929-5300), 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon. www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com A blessing service will be held in the funeral home at 12 P.M. Wednesday followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Sebastian R.C. Church at 12:30 P.M. with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
