Sophie A. Latta, 88, of Arnold City, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 26, 2014 in Country Care Manor, Fayette City. A daughter of the late Dominic and Eleanor Barch, she was born in Monessen on September 8, 1926. A resident of Arnold City since 1966, she was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. Sophie had been employed for 20 years and the former Brookville Sewing Company, retiring in 1985. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Floyd Bilski of Fairhope and Natalie and Jeff Parks of Hanover, one sister, Bertha Bilski of Arnold City and one grandson, Colby Bilski and his wife Jessica. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Latta on May 29, 1992, one granddaughter, Kaly D. Bilski on December 8, 2010, and two brothers, Walter and Joe Barch. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Friday in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon. www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com 724-929-5300.
