Walter Trembach
November 16, 1931 - June 30, 2019
Walter Trembach, 87, of Belle Vernon, passed away with his family by his side on Sunday, June 30, 2019 in Hallsworth House. A son of the late Peter and Mary Trembach, he was born in Pricedale on November 16, 1931. Walt was a member of the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church of Belle Vernon and a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in Korea. He retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Allenport Plant. Walter was most proud of his family, enjoyed spending time with them and also loved to cook. He was well known around the Mon Valley and was seen at local Friday night football games, having his morning coffee at McDonald’s or the Pit Stop, and telling his jokes. A big but gentle man, he will forever remain in our hearts. Surviving are his loving wife of 66 years, Dolores Calderone Trembach; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and John Koons of Rostraver Twp.; a son, Samuel Trembach of Uniontown; two grandchildren, Nicole (James) Barak of Rostraver Twp. and Natalie Brewer of Belle Vernon; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Koons and Zachary Brewer; a sister, Mary Hostenske of Reynoldsburg, OH; and a sister in-law, Elizabeth Trembach (Aunt Betty) of Dearborn, MI. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Maranich of Monessen and Martha Petronko of Belle Vernon; a brother, Samuel Trembach of Michigan, and a nephew, Dennis Petronko of Pittsburgh. There will be no visitation on Thursday, July 4th. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 A.M. in the funeral home with Rev. Chuck MacPherson officiating.
