Andrew J. Orient, 76, of Harmony, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 in his home. A son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Hudacek) Orient, he was born in Pittsburgh on March 26, 1949. Drew had been a resident of Harmony for the past 11 years. He developed meaningful connections in all the communities he lived in, including Harmony and Foxburg, PA, Boston, MA, Eastern Ohio and Vermont. He grew up in Imperial, PA and was a graduate of Bishop Canevin High School. He studied theology at Kings College and psychology at Vermont College. Drew had been employed as a business developer and project manager for Regus Industries and Vogel Disposal and had a long history in the waste management, recycling and energy industries. He is survived by his three sons and a daughter in-law, Aaron Orient, Joshua and Jaia Orient, and Zackary Orient. He is also survived by Cynthia Morelock and Frances Guterl, his siblings Kathleen Orient (Maryann Gorka), Gregory (Anna) Orient, Richard Orient (William Hibsher), and David (Connie) Orient, a sister in-law, Charlotte Orient, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Joseph T. Orient. Drew was a unique gem to most who knew him. As Executive Director of ARCA and Board member of Historic Harmony, he brought music and art to the communities of Foxburg and Harmony. He was also critical in developing local natural areas including the ECOZ trail in Harmony. As an avid saxophonist he spread music throughout the porches of the Northeast and enthusiastically supported up-and-coming musicians and literally anyone he encountered with an idea or passion. He was known for singing a joyful and operatic Happy Birthday to everyone from family members to almost strangers. He touched the lives of so many people and will be missed more than any of us could express. There will be a memorial held on Saturday, February 7th at 1PM at the Calvin Presbyterian Church, 415 East Grandview Ave., Zelienople, PA.
